This recipe creates a restaurant-worthy mango margarita because we’re using real mango. Cool off and relax with this fruity and naturally sweetened frozen margarita made with real fruit. Whether you’re serving this slushy cocktail with your favorite appetizers (think chips and salsa!) or with your favorite Mexican meal (maybe some fajitas) this drink is the perfect choice!

Ingredients & Substitutions

Ingredients needed to make mango margaritas.
  • Mango: Using frozen mango helps make the drink creamy and frosty. You can use fresh mango, but you will need more ice to help keep the frosty texture of the drink.
  • Triple Sec: This is an orange flavored liqueur. Substitute with Cointreau if preferred.
  • Tequila: Use either a silver or a reposado tequila for making margaritas. Añejo tequilas have been aged and will have competing flavors when mixed into a margarita.

  1. Yum-O! I quadrupled the recipe for a big ol’ pitcher to go with tacos tonight. SO delish. Not too sweet, which I was worried about. Perfect. Thanks for an awesome recipe with clear and easy-to-follow instructions.

  2. I LOVE margaritas! I used to write a cocktail recipe every Friday, and many times I was making them and taking pics in the morning. I could fake it sometimes with juice or water, but there’s no faking something like scotch ๐Ÿ˜‰ These look so great, Serene. I would gladly drink one at any time of day!

    1. Oh my gosh Andi, so funny! I never even considered not adding the alcohol! In my defense I had to get the measurements just right so that I didn’t make them too strong ๐Ÿ™‚ and apparently I had to do that step at the same time as my photoshoot. Hope you have a great weekend coming up! Thanks for stopping by
