Ingredients & Substitutions

Ingredients needed to make mango margaritas.
  • Mango: Using frozen mango helps make the drink creamy and frosty. You can use fresh mango, but you will need more ice to help keep the frosty texture of the drink.
  • Triple Sec: This is an orange flavored liqueur. Substitute with Cointreau if preferred.
  • Tequila: Use either a silver or a reposado tequila for making margaritas. Añejo tequilas have been aged and will have competing flavors when mixed into a margarita.

  1. These are SOO GOOOOD!!!! We’ve been making the frozen ones all quarantine and they are the best. I’ve even made to-go ones for friends! You can fit two margs in a mason jar! We’re all about the frozen version, and after trying 6+ different types of frozen mangoes we’ve determined the Whole Foods organic frozen mangoes are the best! They give the best taste and consistency. Seriously these are so delicious!!! Thank you!

  2. Great recipe! Your video is super clean too! Wondering what fps and camera was used for the blender slow-mo shot?

    1. Hi Walker! This is one of the few videos I didn’t film myself, so I don’t know that information sadly. I want to say they filmed that segment and one other segment that day in my taco video that was in 4k so it could be easily manipulated.

  3. Both the ‘rocks’ and frozen versions are wonderful – I can’t believe it took me so long to look for and find these recipes and yours are easy and perfect.  Thanks!!

  4. I made the frozen margarita and it was delicious! I highly recommended. I added just a little bit more of the orange liquor and that made it for me.
