Ingredients needed

Ingredients needed to make sheet pan BBQ Chicken meatballs.
  • Ground Chicken: Can be swapped with ground turkey also.
  • Greek Yogurt: We use this for extra moisture and to keep things egg free for my son. You can swap this out for one egg.
  • Bread Crumbs: Helps to bind everything together. Use a gluten free option as needed.
  • Seasoning Blend: A homemade bbq spice blend of salt, pepper, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, and chili powder.
  • BBQ Sauce: Use your favorite brand and flavor. We’ve been enjoying the Sprouts store brand Organic BBQ Sauce lately.

BBQ Meatballs FAQs

Why are my chicken meatballs so dry?

Overcooking can cause meatballs to dry out. Chicken and turkey meatballs have a naturally lighter look to them, they won’t have a deep brown coloring like beef meatballs. Be sure not to overcook them. Use an internal meat thermometer to ensure doneness. They should reach 165 degrees F.
