This {No Yeast} Pizza Dough is the quickest, easiest way to make fresh, homemade pizza for your family. All it takes is 15 minutes from start to finish!
Do you have 15 minutes to spare? Sometimes I do. When it comes to making dinner for the family, I definitely can spare 15 minutes. Especially when it’s for pizza.
Considering the fact that I couldn’t even order out and have a hot fresh meal on the table in that amount of time. This no yeast pizza dough is pretty much fool proof.
No yeast involved. No time to rise. Just 5 ingredients, mix it up, top it off, bake, eat, enjoy!
I used my KitchenAid Mixer with the dough hook attachment to mix up my dough, if you don’t have a mixer that you can do this with, it will take slightly longer to mix up the dough.
But on the bright side you’ll be spending the extra minutes multi-tasking as you build those arm muscles up.
You can also make this dough in the food processor. Just pulse until the dough forms into a ball.
Nothing beats having a home cooked meal for your family. The ingredients for this no yeast pizza dough are things you most likely have in your pantry. This recipe is a sanity saver!
Trust me, when it comes time for dinner and you’re exhausted and want nothing more than to be already sitting and eating, this pizza dough is the way to go!
How do I make pizza dough without yeast?
The base for this pizza dough is the fact that we are using baking powder instead of yeast. That means that once we mix up this dough it’s ready to go. There is no waiting period for the dough to rise.
This dough is tough enough to handle any toppings you throw on it. I’ve been able to load it up, like with this pulled pork pizza.

{No Yeast} Pizza Dough
Ingredients
- 2 ¼ cups all purpose flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 cup milk
- ¼ cup butter, room temperature
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Line baking sheet with parchment paper, or prepare your pizza pan to your preference or instructions.
- In large mixing bowl combine all ingredients, using dough hook mix on low speed until one ball of dough forms. (This can be made without a mixer, you will just stir until you have a ball of dough that forms)
- Sprinkle flour onto a rolling pin and your hands, remove the ball of dough from the mixing bowl and pat down with flour to help form into a solid ball. Dough may be slightly sticky straight from the mixer.
- Roll the dough into a ball and set onto the prepared baking sheet. Using the rolling pin coated with flour roll out the dough to desired thickness, mine was about 1/4 of an inch thick.
- Spread with Homemade Pizza Sauce Top with desired toppings and bake for 10-12 minutes. Remove from oven, allow time to cool and enjoy!

Amazing ! Super fast crustÂ
This recipe was so easy to make and the family loved it! It’s a definitely money saver. Thanks for sharing!
This recipe was easy to make and tasted great. A last minute request for pizza and I remembered your recipe. We made three pizzas. Two with baking margarine and one with butter.
I also sprayed my pans then sprinkled them with cornmeal. It gives it a store bought taste and helps with the crispiness. Wonderful.
This turned out great! I cut the dough in half and froze half of it – the second half was just as good as the first!
Dang, if I had realized homemade pizza crust could be this easy I’d have started doing this years ago! Just gave this recipe a try last night and was thrilled with the result. I threw in some herbs and black pepper to jazz it up a bit, and it was fantastic! We’re having it again tonight, it was so good. Thank you so much for sharing this.
This one’s a keeper! I made stromboli with the dough, followed the recipe to the T and it turned out perfectly. Thank you for sharing 🙂
I don’t have baking powder but I do have self rising flour. Do you think I could just use the same amount of self rising flour instead of all purpose and just omit the baking powder?Â
Can you add sugar to this recipe, if so how much to use?
Yes! This recipe is so easy to adapt. If you want to add sugar I would start with 1 tbsp to up to 1/4 cup, I suppose it depends on how sweet you want the dough to be.
Could I use this pizza dough for a skillet pizza? Â Would it still bake up ok?
Omg! My we so loved this delicious pizza recipe! Thanks for sharing. I will most definitely be making this again.
Hi…. What milk should i use???? Can i use evaporated milk????
You can use any milk you prefer or have on hand. I haven’t made it with evaporated milk yet, so I can’t say how that changes the texture.
Are we able to substitute the butter for baking margarine or normal margarine?Â
Butter in South Africa is ridiculously expensive!
Hi Ashleigh! I haven’t tried it with margarine, I’m not sure if the texture would be different. If you have any kind of cooking oil, like vegetable oil, that would work.
My boyfriend and I wanted to make pizza, but we didn’t have any yeast. This recipe saved the day!! It obviously does not taste 100% like pizza crust, but it’s tasty and still has a homemade pizza dough taste in my opinion. I used 1/4 cup olive oil in place of butter and I added garlic powder and Italian seasoning to my dough (this helped a lot with flavor). I also took the advice of other comments and baked the dough for about 5-7 minutes before placing the sauce and toppings on and this worked out well and helped the crust cook and crisp up. I would recommend this dough and I will definitely be using this recipe again!Â
Hello! Great recipe for pizza dough, it’s so yummy! Do you think this recipe could be used for cinnamon rolls?Â
This was super easy to put together using my stand mixer! I made a few substitutions/changes and I thought it turned out quite good! Instead of butter I used butter flavored shortening instead as that’s what I had on hand and at room temperature. I substituted garlic salt for regular salt and doubled the amount. I also added 1/2 teaspoon onion powder and 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano. I rolled it out thin and brushed the edges with seasoned olive oil before baking at 500 degrees. I also baked the dough by itself with no toppings for about 5 minutes just to make it more sturdy for sauce and toppings as I wanted to make sure the crust wouldn’t get soggy. After adding sauce and toppings I baked for another 10-12 minutes, watching carefully. It’s safe to say ALL pizza we eat from here on out will be homemade! 🙂
Work well, really yummy. Went down a treat
I read that we can also replace the butter with coconut oil. Can we use canola or olive oil instead? If yes, how much oil?
My family has been using this recipe for YEARS. We love it. For a family of 5 we double it and make personal pizza’s or calzones. Whichever we are in the mood for.
Thanks for this recipe! In the midst of a pandemic, yeast is hard to find 🙂 Hubby and I really wanted to make pizza.Â
We used whole wheat flour and oat milk instead of regular milk bc that’s what we had. All turned out well. We don’t have a mixer here and my husband stirred it up very quickly. By the instructions, I was expecting it to to take a lot more muscle.Â
I will say we had to keep it in the oven longer than indicated. About 20 mins and it still was pretty soft in the middle. We’d rolled it out pretty thin. I’d maybe crisp it up for about 5 minutes before adding toppings next time.Â
