This {No Yeast} Pizza Dough is the quickest, easiest way to make fresh, homemade pizza for your family. All it takes is 15 minutes from start to finish!
Do you have 15 minutes to spare? Sometimes I do. When it comes to making dinner for the family, I definitely can spare 15 minutes. Especially when it’s for pizza.
Considering the fact that I couldn’t even order out and have a hot fresh meal on the table in that amount of time. This no yeast pizza dough is pretty much fool proof.
No yeast involved. No time to rise. Just 5 ingredients, mix it up, top it off, bake, eat, enjoy!
I used my KitchenAid Mixer with the dough hook attachment to mix up my dough, if you don’t have a mixer that you can do this with, it will take slightly longer to mix up the dough.
But on the bright side you’ll be spending the extra minutes multi-tasking as you build those arm muscles up.
You can also make this dough in the food processor. Just pulse until the dough forms into a ball.
Nothing beats having a home cooked meal for your family. The ingredients for this no yeast pizza dough are things you most likely have in your pantry. This recipe is a sanity saver!
Trust me, when it comes time for dinner and you’re exhausted and want nothing more than to be already sitting and eating, this pizza dough is the way to go!
How do I make pizza dough without yeast?
The base for this pizza dough is the fact that we are using baking powder instead of yeast. That means that once we mix up this dough it’s ready to go. There is no waiting period for the dough to rise.
This dough is tough enough to handle any toppings you throw on it. I’ve been able to load it up, like with this pulled pork pizza.

{No Yeast} Pizza Dough
Ingredients
- 2 ¼ cups all purpose flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 cup milk
- ¼ cup butter, room temperature
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Line baking sheet with parchment paper, or prepare your pizza pan to your preference or instructions.
- In large mixing bowl combine all ingredients, using dough hook mix on low speed until one ball of dough forms. (This can be made without a mixer, you will just stir until you have a ball of dough that forms)
- Sprinkle flour onto a rolling pin and your hands, remove the ball of dough from the mixing bowl and pat down with flour to help form into a solid ball. Dough may be slightly sticky straight from the mixer.
- Roll the dough into a ball and set onto the prepared baking sheet. Using the rolling pin coated with flour roll out the dough to desired thickness, mine was about 1/4 of an inch thick.
- Spread with Homemade Pizza Sauce Top with desired toppings and bake for 10-12 minutes. Remove from oven, allow time to cool and enjoy!

I’m hoping to turn this into some kind of bread stick as a side- I’m thinking of following directions as is but then topping with olive oil, some italian seasonings, and some parmesan cheese…any thoughts or recommendations on trying this?
Not horrible for a no yeast dough. Much more a cracker than a pizza crust in my opinion. Had to back about twice as long for it to have the crunch of a pizza crust
Quick and easy and made for a great pizza… I roll mine out thinner than the 1/4″ but that is because we like it “thin and crispy” and I always brush the dough with oil once rolled out before putting the sauce and toppings on to stop it from going soggy. I also made this once using extra virgin olive oil rather than the butter and water rather than the milk (I was out of milk and the store was closed) and it worked out just fine.
If you like a puffy, biscuit-like pizza dough, this is for you. I was reminded of the Kraft homemade pizza kits of the 60s and 70s.
THE best pizza dough recipe tht doesn’t use yeast. It tastes amazing, the texture is amazing and it’s incredibly easy. We made one gluten free (using wheat free flour) and dairy free (using margarine and soy milk) and one as the recipe and they were both amazing. Gluten free is usually a bit dry and the textures questionable but this was so good!
Can you use bread flour?
Hi Tami, I don’t usually have bread flour on hand, so I haven’t tried it. But you should be able to use this as a substitute.
Can olive oil be substituted for butter?
Yes. You can use oil instead of butter in this recipe.
Hello there!
How much oil? I’m also confused on the butter. The video says unsalted, but the written recipe calls for regular butter. Does it matter?
Thanks!
Hi Nicole. The recipe uses unsalted butter. If you are using salted butter you will need to reduce the amount of salt being added. And oil would only be used as a substitute for butter. If you have no butter on hand you can use oil instead.
Not enough flour. Kept having to add more and more to get the ball to form. Added at least another half cup of flour and dough mixture would not hold together.
Instead of pizza I made dough balls with cheese on the inside. So so yummy. Dipped it into honey butter and was ????? my s.o. loved them too. Thank you!♥️
Great easy recipe using items most people already have in their pantry and fridge. It is a little more biscuit like than true pizza crust, but that’s to be expected without the yeast. We did up the salt, added some garlic powder, and used the recipe for homemade pizza sauce. We rolled out our dough very thin, just under 1/4 inch as well as baked it about 5 minutes before putting on sauce and toppings and finish baking. Came out tasty and held up well fully loaded. Even the kind-of-particular-teenager liked it. Will definitely make again.
This was a Wonderfull Recipe! It was super easy and Quick. My neice had fun helping me make it!
This worked great! Thank you!
In your answer to the question: “Can I make this dairy-free?”, I believe it should be “there are” instead of “there’s”.
Thank you?
It’s pretty good for the minimal amount of ingredients. You could probably add some spices like oregano or garlic to the crust to give it a little more flavor.
Can I use cast iron skillet for this
I haven’t made it that way, I would think that the dough would end up too thick for this method.
Can the dough be made before hand and stored in the fridge or freezer?
Yes it can! You can roll out the dough into the pizza crust shape and store in the freezer.
5 stars. Quick and easy. I halved the recipe it was perfect for whole pizza for my hubby and me.
I rolled thin and put in oven for 5 mins before adding toppings. I like my crust crisp..
Thank you for sharing
I cannot rate this recipe good enough for the ease. I needed to make something quick for kids school lunches. I do not have a kitchen aid mixer but I put my dough in my bread machine and mixed it for 5 minutes on dough setting. As the dough mixed I added in a couple of extra tablespoons of flour. I just kept adding til dough wasn’t sticky. I then rolled it out on my pan. Amazing consistency.
Hi, I made the recipe but substituted with gluten free flour and it ended up rising a lot and being very thick and doughy 🙁
It is a little bit too bready.. maybe I should’ve rolled it thinner but I liked it:) my sauce messed it up though that’s enjoyed the thick bread
Tasted great so easy I’ll be making it when I don’t want to mess with yeast
