This Sugar Cookie Latte based on a favorite drink of mine from a popular coffee shop. I wanted to make something that was easy to put together in the morning, and didn’t require me to make a syrup to store in the fridge.

Tell Me About This Christmas Cookie Latte:

  • No Syrup: Means no prep or forethought needed. Just have some basics on hand and this latte can be whipped up on a whim!
  • Sweetness Level: You get to control the amount of sugar you use.
  • Festive: There’s nothing more festive than indulging in a morning coffee that is named for the classic Christmas Sugar Cookies!

Ingredient Highlights & Substitutions

Find the complete recipe card below with measurements and full instructions.

  • Espresso: Prepare this using your preferred method. You can also brew strong coffee and use this same method. Use the extracts and the creamer, leaving out the frothed milk if you’re using brewed coffee.
  • Creamer: This ingredient accomplishes two things, it adds vanilla and sweetness. If you don’t have creamer on hand you can use vanilla extract and sugar. White or light brown sugar can be used, mix it in with the espresso and sweeten to your taste, 1-2 tablespoons should be good for you depending on how sweet you want it.
  • Extracts: A combination of almond, butter, and vanilla is what gives this latte its flavoring.
  • Milk: Use your milk of preference. You can also be sure to use almond or coconut milks/creamers as needed to make this dairy free.

  1. Vanilla Creamer: This ingredient accomplishes two things, it adds vanilla and sweetness. If you don’t have creamer on hand you can use vanilla extract and sugar. White or light brown sugar can be used, mix it in with the espresso and sweeten to your taste, 1-2 tablespoons should be good, depending on how sweet you want it.

  3. Butter Extract: If you are concerned about dyes in your food, some options for this ingredient do contain yellow dye. The Adams brand I used is from HEB so if you have one local you can purchase there. Otherwise I found this one here
