Quick and Easy Cilantro Lime Ground Chicken

Who doesn’t love a good shortcut! Using ground meats allows for quick and easy weeknight meals. This ground chicken is cooked with a simple seasoning blend, plenty of fresh cilantro, and freshly squeezed lime juice.

Cilantro Lime Ground Chicken
Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground chicken
- 1½ teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons granulated garlic
- 2 teaspoons granulated onion
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- 3 tablespoons fresh cilantro chopped
- juice from 1 lime
Instructions
- Heat a medium size skillet over medium heat.
- Add the ground chicken to the skillet, then add the seasonings (salt, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, chili powder, paprika, and oregano).
- Break apart the meat while it cooks with the seasonings. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the meat is fully cooked through (will look white and no longer pink).
- Stir in the chopped cilantro and fresh lime juice.
- Use in tacos, burritos, salads, bowls, and more!
Notes
- Store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days in a sealed container.
- Reheat on the stovetop with a small amount of broth if needed for extra moisture.
- Freeze in a freezer safe container or bag for up to 3 months. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight.
