Cilantro Lime Ground Chicken

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground chicken
  • teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons granulated garlic
  • 2 teaspoons granulated onion
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • 3 tablespoons fresh cilantro chopped
  • juice from 1 lime

Instructions

  • Heat a medium size skillet over medium heat. 
  • Add the ground chicken to the skillet, then add the seasonings (salt, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, chili powder, paprika, and oregano).

  • Break apart the meat while it cooks with the seasonings. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the meat is fully cooked through (will look white and no longer pink). 
  • Stir in the chopped cilantro and fresh lime juice.

Notes

Storage: 
  • Store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days in a sealed container. 
  • Reheat on the stovetop with a small amount of broth if needed for extra moisture. 
  • Freeze in a freezer safe container or bag for up to 3 months. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight.
