Ingredients in Taco Bell Quesadilla Sauce

The best part about this sauce, is that it comes together with items you most likely have in your pantry and refrigerator already.

Ingredients needed to make homemade Taco Bell quesadilla sauce laid out on the counter.
  • Jalapeño Brine: the brine from a jar of pickled jalapeños adds the right amount of tangy heat to create the perfect creamy jalapeño sauce. Be sure to grab a jar of jalapeños and not canned, since the canned versions don’t have the brining juice.
  • Mayonnaise & Sour Cream: the combination of the two gives a nice creamy base to the sauce. Feel free to substitute with plain greek yogurt if you prefer.
  • Seasoning Blend: a mixture of paprika, chili powder, garlic powder, cumin, and salt.

  • Make Ahead: this creamy jalapeño sauce is great to make ahead, it stores nicely in the refrigerator for a week, and as it sits the first day, the flavors meld together.
  • Storage: store in a sealed container in the refrigerator for 5-7 days. Simply stir and serve when ready to use.
  • Freezer: due to the mayonnaise base of this sauce, we don’t recommend freezing it.
