Grilled Chicken Legs

This recipe for grilled chicken legs is a beloved family classic. The chicken becomes deliciously tender and savory thanks to a simple marinade of lemon, garlic, and seasonings.


Chicken Drumsticks Extra Virgin Olive Oil Honey Lemon Soy Sauce Garlic Salt and Pepper

Mix the marinade in a jar or measuring cup. Add chicken and marinade to a plastic bag. Seal and place in refrigerator to marinate for 30 minutes to 6 hours. Discard marinade and pat chicken dry before grilling.

Grill drumsticks skin  side down over the indirect heat for 15-20 minutes. Rotate chicken. Close lid and continue cooking another 15 minutes or until chicken registers approximately 160°F.

With the lid open, place the chicken over the direct heat and cook until  chicken has nice grill marks, approximately 4-5 minutes per side until the chicken reaches 185-190°F.

Remove from grill and let rest for 5 minutes covered loosely with foil, then serve.
