Toppings

  • 1 cup cheddar cheese freshly grated
  • 1 roma tomato diced
  • ¼ medium red onion sliced
  • ½ cup guacamole
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup salsa
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro diced

Optional

Instructions

  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef. Break the beef up with a wooden spoon while cooking. Cook the ground beef fully, until browned and no longer pink.
  • Drain any excess grease from the skillet. Then return to the stove and reduce the heat to low.
  • Add the 1/4 cup water and taco seasoning. Stir together until the meat is coated in the sauce.
  • Allow this to cook for 2-3 minutes, then remove from the heat.
  • Create bowls by layering cooked rice in the bottom of the bowl. Top with ground beef, grated cheese, diced tomato, and sliced red onion.
  • Add scoops of guacamole and sour cream. Drizzle with salsa and sprinkle with fresh cilantro.
  • Serve with tortilla chips if desired.
