Texas Margarita

This Texas Margarita has a refreshing citrus flavor with the combination of lime and orange juices. This sweet, citrusy cocktail is the perfect companion for all your Tex Mex and Mexican meals.

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces tequila
  • 1 ounce lime juice
  • 1 ounce orange juice
  • 1 ounce triple sec
  • ½ ounce agave

Margarita Salt

  • 1 teaspoon coarse salt
  • ½ teaspoon lime zest
  • ½ teaspoon orange zest

Instructions

Margarita Salt

  • Combine the salt and the lime and orange zest by rubbing it together with your fingers.

Margarita

  • Rub a lime wedge around the edge of the glass.
  • Dip the wet rim of the glass into the margarita salt so that it sticks to the glass.
  • Add ice to a cocktail shaker and to the glass for serving the drink.
  • Pour the alcohols, juices and agave into the cocktail shaker. Shake to combine and to chill the drink.
  • Pour the drink into the prepared glass. Serve immediately.

Notes

How to make a pitcher: Multiply the ingredients needed by how many servings you want to provide. Serve over ice, preparing and garnishing each cup as needed.
