Soft and flexible, these homemade corn tortillas are quick and easy to put together. Only 4 ingredients needed. These tortillas are the perfect complement to your favorite tacos and enchiladas.
Combine the masa harina with the salt, stir with a fork to combine completely. If using oil, add the oil and mix together.
Gradually pour in the warm water and stir to combine until dough sticks together. Use your hands to knead the dough for 2-3 minutes until smooth and formed into a ball.
Cover the dough and let sit for 30 minutes. Divide the dough into 2 TBSP portions and use your hands to roll the dough into balls.
Press using a tortilla press and cook on a pre-heated comal or non-stick skillet. Cook on each side for 45-60 seconds.
Place the cooked tortillas into a tortilla warmer or on a clean towel and cover with the towel to retain heat while continuing to cook the remaining tortillas.
