How has your weather been?? Not to brag, but the last couple days, ours has been wonderful!! We’ve had some snow, some rain, lots of cold. But the last couple days Spring is truly here! Which makes me want cold treats. I was so excited to try out this DREYER’S Frozen Custard, I had to pick up a couple flavors so I could get the full effect. But did I stop there? No. Of course not! I set up a fun little Frozen Custard Bar for the kids to enjoy with their Old Fashioned Vanilla DREYER’S Frozen Custard.
I know my kids, and I know their favorite toppings. So I made them each a special white chocolate dipped sugar cone with some of their favorites. We used crushed up chocolate sandwich cookies for one, sprinkles for the middle one, and crushed up fruity cereal for the little one. These matched the toppings that we added on top, except for the middle one had gummy bears with her sprinkle sugar cone. That’s just her personality.
Ok, so have you tried this DREYER’S Frozen Custard yet?? I’m in love. It’s definitely Ice Cream’s creamier cousin. It’s so rich and creamy, made with fresh milk, and no artificial colors or flavors. The Old Fashioned Vanilla is perfect for the kids to dress up and make their own. We were able to find these to buy at our local Walmart.
If you’re interested the stores are actually doing in store demos that will be taking place across the country March 26-29. Click here to check out the dates available.
This was so easy to set up, to coat the sugar cones I melted some white chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl. Start with 50% power and 30 seconds. Then stir. Continue with this process until the white chocolate is melted. If you attempt to melt the white chocolate all at one it will burn and turn powder-y. Then dip the tops of the sugar cones into the chocolate, turning so that you evenly coat all sides and allow the excess to drip off. Then sprinkle with whatever topping you want! Simple as can be. Then I set up little bowls with the toppings for the girls to scoop onto their frozen custard.
They have plenty of other delicious flavors also, I couldn’t resist grabbing the Peanut Butter Pie, I mean c’mon, a blend of sweet cream frozen custard with plenty of chocolate cookie pieces AND peanut butter swirls in every bite. Heaven in a bowl for me. And that carton will be mine. Alll mine. That’s only fair right? One carton for the kids, one carton for me. Maybe I’ll share with the hubs…if he’s lucky.
