This Lemon Berry Martini is a fun and refreshing cocktail to sip on! The citrus and berry is perfect for spring or summer, or anytime! This martini is mixed with champagne which makes it bubbly and sophisticated.
We’re going high class today! Martini style. These Lemon Berry Martinis make me feel fancy. Which is saying a lot since I spend my day in yoga pants and typically have some kind of food smeared on my shirt. And before you try to justify that statement somehow, no, the yoga pants are not from working out. The hazards of working at home and being surrounded by kids all day. Luckily I am married to a wonderful man though who recognizes that I sometimes need some time to keep my sanity. And I got to go out with a friend the other evening. Can you guess what I ordered off the menu? That’s right. A Lemon Berry Martini. And it was so delightful and refreshing I had to recreate it. Duh. That’s what I do.
Can we all just take a moment and appreciate the beauty of these fruits? Strawberries are quite possibly my favorite fruit ever. Remember me telling you how I used to sneak them when I was younger? One of the best things about this drink is that there are chunks of fruit in it. There’s blueberries and strawberries that get muddled and poured in with the drink. If you don’t have a muddler, don’t fear! The hubs has discovered a wonderful trick of using two cups to get the same effect. You’ll need two different sizes though, one small enough to fit into the other so that you can squish, or muddle the berries. You don’t want to just cut them, you want to crush them to get the juices. And a little tip..don’t muddle in a glass. The glass can break if you get a little carried away.
The other ingredients to this are pretty simple. Some berry flavored vodka, limoncello, and champagne. I love the idea of champagne in a martini. I like the bubbles. Plus it just makes me feel classy. Same with the martini glasses. They just scream fancy.
