Oh.Mah.Gosh. You guys! This bread. This. Bread. I have never been so in love with anything I have made before. Other than my kids I suppose. But this bread. Caramel Bacon Pull Apart Bread to be exact. First of all, I’m quite proud of the baking skill I feel I pulled off, since the recipe contains yeast. If you know me and my No Yeast Pizza Dough, you know I will find a way to make what I want without the yeast. I think it’s more of a patience thing than a skill thing. But this bread was SO worth the wait! And seriously, the yeast is nothing to be scared of. Again, we just have to wait for it to do it’s magical thing. Which involves making this bread light and fluffy. So I’m ok with that.
The topping of this bread. Divine. Seriously. Remarkable. I think when I took a bite I heard angels singing (or it’s possible that was a little girl singing “Leeeeet it gooooo”). It’s a soft caramel loaded with bacon and pecans. The combination of salty and sweet is perfection. I’m plotting when I can make another loaf of this. I so hope you make this recipe, everyone deserves to enjoy this snack! The best part, it gets better as it sits. If you can control yourself..better than I can..and save some for the next day, you will be oh so happy. The cinnamon sugar mixture soaks more into the bread, making it just a bit more flavorful. The flavors a bit more combined. Everything is just a bit more..right.
