Banana Maple Pops. Coated with toasted pecans, bacon, or sprinkles. Or you could just go all out and do all toppings on one? I do admit to making one with pecans and bacon. But c’mon. Bacon just goes with everything. This lovely idea here was conceived in the mind of the hubs and brought to fruition by me! That’s why he loves me folks. I just go with it. My hubs wants bacon on a banana I find a way!
In all seriousness though, these turned out pretty darn tasty if I do say so myself. Of course I ate one with bacon and pecans. But I realize that not everyone is as adventurous when it comes to food. So I did make sure I made some with just sprinkles. And the kids ate them up before I could even ask them how it was!
The maple glaze is super thick and sticks really well to the cold bananas, but you will want to make sure you store these in the freezer until you are ready to eat, otherwise it turns into a mushy banana and that’s just not fun for anybody. The maple pairs perfectly with the salty bacon and the toasted pecans. And the frozen banana makes this completely healthy…right??
